I went to San Diego in February of this year and fell in love with the shopping facilities they have. Every store I’ve ever heard of was within a ten mile radius, and some I’d never heard of. The only thing I didn’t like was that the guard stopped me from taking pictures in one of the corridors of the Fashion Valley Center. I was so excited to see a Betsey Johnson store that I had to take a picture of it. He stopped me right after, but he didn’t make me erase the pics, so here it is…

The pictures are of such bad quality because I’m using my cell phone until I can get a new camera. Hey, it’s a poor girl’s blog:)….here are some other pictures of what Fashion Valley Center looks like:

There were more then 200 shops. There was Tiffany & Co., Rolex, Sephora, MAC Cosmetics, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Ave, and many more. I wanted to go into the Louis Vuitton store, but I took five steps in, saw the bags in cases as if they were jewelry, and took five steps right back out of the store.

I loved San Diego. The trolley was convenient and the route I rode had plenty of places to stop and shop.

There was another shopping center close by that had an Off 5th (Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet) store where these $350.00 Dior shades were on sale for 80 percent off, which would have been $70. They had the nerve to have a red sticker on them and they were down to – brace yourself – $26.95! There are subtle scratches along the edge of the lens, and I had to clean off the sticky tag glue. But they’re authentic and they were the big bargain and highlight of my trip! Wow! Aren’t they cute?

I stayed in the store for over two hours trying to pick the best pair for me. There were so many to choose from. There was something sticky on one of the arms, from the tag, and a small mark on the edge of the lens. I guess that’s why they were marked down so much. I don’t care, they look cute and they’re authentic.
This is the hotel where we (editors of the Southern News) stayed during our trip, which was for a collegiate journalism convention. It was such a nice experience.

If I weren’t so busy with convention activities, I would have gotten better pictures. Sorry.
